It's now the most compatible homebrew loader and it should work without ps2load or change DNASXXX.IMG tricks. Open Ps2 Loader 0.7 ps3#Open PS2 Loader (OPL) is a 100% Open source game and application loader for the PS2 and PS3 units. as well as launch most apps from the very handy APPS page.įor compatibility with older homebrew which doesnt work on current OPL versions, simply add OPL 0.8 to your APPS menu, and then launch that first before choosing your homebrew, to bypass this limitation. Generally, once set up correctly you wont need anything else to play any game or emulator in your collection. The NTSC version does work at first, but sometimes when loading a new level or a game save it returns to the Deus Ex menu, and the likelyhood of this occuring increases the further into the game you get - I am now at the point where I cannot get the game to load any new areas after I load my current game saves.Ĭan you suggest anything I can try please? And if you have the game working for you, then do you have the PAL or NTSC game and PAL or NTSC PS2, what loader do you use, do you have any of the MODE settings selected in the hard drive loader, etc? I'll try to duplicate your setup (although I don't have an NTSC PS2, of course).OpenPS2Loader is a front-end PS2-game-ISO launcher, and Elf/App launcher, a Virtual Memory Card (VMC) creator/manager, with CoverArt/Background display ability, and sooo much more. The PAL version of Deus Ex will not load even the first level - when you try to start a game from the Deus EX menu you get the loading screen for a time, then the game reaturns to the Deus EX menu. I've used both HD ADvance 3.0 retail PAL version and MCBoot (which is HDLoader 8c, I think), on both the PAL and NTSC versions of Deus Ex on my PAL PS2.
